Digital Matter: Blogging, Branding and Building Community
Keep a diary or journal on personal website/ blog.
This helps you to generate content for social media, lets people get to know more about you, and let’s them know that you’re tech savy, ect.
Be selective about what you post. Avoid posting something that has publication potential.
For example, in my diary, I only post sketches, dream journal entries, reflections on literary workshops, events, ect.
Create a literary roundup for your blog, a literary magazine or press.

Write for online magazines
Non-Paying markets
Tell the editors what they can expect from you and what you’re able do with your schedule. For example, I usually tell editors that I can write short pieces, micro-essays, listicles, and I can only post once a month.
Paying market
Create pitches, expect deadlines and two to three month’s time before payment. https://bookriot.com/join-us/
Branding
Highlight your interests on social media.
This can help you decide what you want to share and what you want to keep private.
This can help you find your audience and your communities.
